The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface and install guardrail on SR-19 from the Lamar County line to the intersection of Sentry Road in Hamilton to improve mobility and safety.
The 9.8-mile project is expected to begin Monday, Sept. 22 and will continue until the end of the year, weather permitting. A pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone.
Drivers should expect possible delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
S.T. Bunn Construction Company was awarded the project at $2.30 million.
