Upcoming McAshan Drive DDI bridge girder installation requires rolling roadblocks

Rolling roadblocks are needed for bridge girder installation at future McAshan Road DDI next week.

Work to build Jefferson County’s first Diverging Diamond Interchange, or DDI, is reaching a significant milestone.

Next week, ALDOT will install girders for the new eastbound bridge over I-59/20 at McAshan Dive in McCalla, weather permitting.

The I-10 Exit 44 ramp closure will affect the eastbound Interstate 10 ramp to Loxley overnight for lighting work.

Signal upgrades at SR-69 and Sunset Drive to begin

Work will begin Thursday to install new signal poles and other signal upgrades at SR-69 and Sunset Drive in Guntersville.

Work to install new signal upgrades at SR-69 and Sunset Drive in Guntersville will begin Thursday, Feb. 19, weather permitting.

The work will take just a few days. ALDOT anticipates little impact on traffic.

The planned signal upgrades include new poles, mast arms, signal heads, pedestrian

ALDOT to temporarily close US-82 at Sand Springs Road intersection

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to temporarily close the intersection of US-82 at Sand Springs Road near Gordo next week.

The Stanley Avenue railroad crossing in Andalusia will be closed Thursday, Feb. 19, for repairs.

Portion of SR-134 in Henry County closed Monday for repairs

The Alabama Department of Transportation will close a portion of SR-134 in Henry County at the Dale County line to replace a damaged pipe.

The closure will begin at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, and should reopen by 6 p.m., weather permitting.

ALDOT closing Old Brook Trail Bridge in Mountain Brook for replacement

ALDOT is closing the Old Brook Trail Bridge over Little Shades Creek on February 18.
