ALDOT bridge project in Jasper advances

An Alabama Department of Transportation contractor successfully placed girders for the bridge on SR-5 over SR-69 (US-78A) in Jasper last week, moving the project significantly forward.

The work is part of the ongoing bridge replacement and intersection improvement project that is intended to improve safety, mobility and commerce. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Wright Brothers Construction Company was awarded the project at $8.8 million.
