Beginning at 8 p.m., Monday, August 26, weather permitting, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will have a single outside lane closure southbound on I-65 at milepost 253. Then at 11 p.m., there will be a rolling roadblock shutting down all southbound lanes on I-65 for 15 minutes at a time until work is completed.
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
