ALDOT is extending the detour on SR-41 for landslide repairs between Hybart and Franklin until early 2025 due to unexpected delays. Recent rain and weather challenges have slowed the timeline, pushing back the completion of critical repairs at milepost 65.4.
ALDOT put this detour in place on Sept. 9, to support ongoing work to restore SR-41 after a significant landslide. ALDOT will keep the detour in place until the route can be safely reopened. Crews are working diligently to complete repairs as quickly as possible. ALDOT appreciates drivers’ patience and cooperation during this extended closure.
ALDOT will continue to provide updates as the project progresses and remains committed to reopening SR-41 safely. Please follow posted detour routes and drive with caution near the work zone.
