ALDOT crews are actively treating I-20 from the Georgia line to the Logan Martin Bridge
Jefferson County – Roadway issues with ice and snow persist in many areas.
St. Clair County – Reports of icy road conditions and stranded motorists. All lanes of Interstate 20 eastbound and westbound in St. Clair County are being treated by ALDOT crews and traffic is currently backing up at the 153-mile marker westbound.
Shelby County – Roadway issues with ice and snow persist in many areas.
Blount County – All state and federal roads have been treated and roadway conditions have improved. All county roads remain impassable.
Calhoun – Per Calhoun County EMA all city roadways in the County are closed. Many roadways remain covered with ice and snow. Jacksonville City Roads are impassable. Alabama 77 to Alabama 144 from Etowah County Line is iced over. Calhoun County Roads are also covered with snow and ice.
Clay – Roadway issues with ice and snow persist in many areas.
Cleburne – Roadway issues with ice and snow persist in many areas. U.S. 431 is blocked at Cleburne County Road 281 in both directions due to icy road conditions.
Randolph – Roadway issues with ice and snow persist in many areas.
Talladega – Childersburg City has closed all city roads. U.S. 280 near Merkel Mtn. is near impassible per Talladega County.

Calhoun County – Per Calhoun County EMA all city roadways in the County are closed due to ice and snow on the roadways. Jacksonville City Roads are impassable. Alabama 77 to Alabama 144 from Etowah County Line is iced over. Calhoun County Roads are also covered with snow and ice.
Clay County – Roadways are covered with ice and snow.
Cleburne County – Roadways are covered with ice and snow.
Randolph County – Roadways are covered with ice and snow. U.S. 431 is blocked in both directions due to icy road conditions and impassible at this time.
Talladega County – Childersburg City has closed all city roads. U.S. 280 near Merkel Mtn. is near impassible per Talladega County.

Blount County – All roads are covered with snow and ice and are deemed impassable.
Jefferson County – Roadways are covered with ice and snow, and conditions are deteriorating in many areas.
St. Clair County – Roadways are covered with ice and snow. ALEA has received widespread reports of icy roads and stranded motorists due to icy conditions on all lanes of Interstate 20, near the 153 mile marker to the 156 mile marker. The roadway will be blocked and impassible. Please avoid travelling in this area if possible and seek alternate routes.
Shelby County – Roadways are covered with ice and snow. The southbound lanes of Interstate 65 at approximately 237 mile marker will be blocked and impassible.

I-459 NB @ MM 21: Tractor trailer stalled in left 2 lanes.
I-59 SB @ MM 173: Tractor trailer jack knifed with lane blockage. Roadway not closed.
US 231 @ Family Trail: Jack knifed tractor trailer with lane blockage. Roadway not closed.
I-20 WB @ 184: Single vehicle crash involving a black sedan, lane blockage is unknown.
I-20 WB @ MM 165: Single vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer, left lane blocked.
US 11 from Micklewright Rd to Church Way closed.
US 31 SB @ MM 273 before University Blvd, single-vehicle crash blocking the right 2 lanes.

ALDOT Crews are treating and plowing highways all across the region, however, roadway conditions remain dangerous in many areas. Please refrain from non-essential travel.
Crews are also working to clear multiple crashes blocking roadways in several different locations, as well as responding to some reports of stranded motorists.
