The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to temporarily close the intersection of US-82 at Sand Springs Road near Gordo next week.
The intersection is expected to close on Monday, Feb. 23 for approximately three weeks to allow for the construction of the new US-82 lanes. Drivers should seek alternate routes during this period.
This is part of the Gordo Bypass project, which is intended to improve mobility and safety.
