The I-10 Exit 44 ramp closure will affect the eastbound Interstate 10 ramp to Loxley overnight for lighting work.
Closure details:
Date: Sunday night, Feb. 22, 2026
Time: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Location: Eastbound I-10 ramp at Exit 44 (Loxley)
Reason: Installation of high-mast light pole fixtures. Poles must be lowered and reinstalled.
Detour information:
Eastbound I-10 drivers will be directed to:
- Exit 49 (Baldwin Beach Express), then
- Make a U-turn and use westbound I-10 to access SR-59, or
- Use the Beach Express to reach other alternate routes.
Follow posted signs and message boards for guidance.
Additional information:
Work will also take place at the westbound ramp, but no closure is expected.
Emergency vehicles will be accommodated.
Drivers should plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
