Contractor Rogers Group will begin resurfacing SR-79 from SR-35 to CR-145 in Jackson County on Tuesday, March 3, weather permitting.
The $1.1 million project will resurface about 3.7 miles of the two-lane highway.
ALDOT advises motorists to expect single-lane closures with traffic directed by flaggers or a pilot car. ALDOT anticipates completion in late spring.
