An intersection on busy US-231/US-431 in Huntsville will undergo periodic closures overnight early next week for utility work related to the future Huntsville Northern Bypass.
Huntsville Utilities said electric operations crews will intermittently close the intersection of US-231/US-431 and Bob Wade Lane between 9 p.m. Sunday, March 17, and 6 a.m. Monday, March 18, while they install new powerlines.
The traffic stoppages are expected to be brief. Still, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the intersection, if possible. Message boards are positioned to advise of the closures in advance.
Those who will travel through the intersection are advised to drive with caution, remain alert to the presence workers, and be prepared for shifting traffic patterns and possible delays.
