ALDOT’s Southwest Region gears up for 2025 resurfacing projects

ALDOT’s Fiscal Year 2025 resurfacing program is set to enhance approximately 95 miles of roadways across the Southwest Region. The region will see approximately $22 million allocated to resurface around 47 miles over 23 projects in Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia, and Conecuh counties. Additionally, the Grove Hill area will benefit from ten projects covering over 48 miles across Clarke, Choctaw, Marengo, Wilcox, and Monroe counties, with approximately $24 million allocated for these resurfacing projects.

Here’s a closer look at the upcoming projects:

Mobile Area Projects

  • Baldwin County: SR 287 from the intersection of SR-59 to north of I-65.
  • Mobile County: SR-158 from Shell St. to I-65 Northbound Ramp Roadway.
  • Mobile County: SR-158 from east of US-45 to Dogwood Trail.
  • Baldwin County: US-90 from I-10/SR-16 EB Ramp to just west of SR-181.
  • Baldwin County: SR-181 from Malbis Ln. to US-31.
  • Baldwin County: US-98 from US-90 (SR-16) to US-90 (SR-16) at Scenic Overlook.
  • Baldwin County: US-31 from US-90 to just east of SR-225.
  • Baldwin County: US-90 from Blakely River Bridge to Bass Pro Drive.
  • Baldwin County: US-98 from SR-104 East to CR-32 in Barnwell.
  • Escambia County: US-31 from Little Escambia Creek to 0.5 miles south of CR-39.
  • Baldwin County: SR-59 from the intersection of SR-287 to McMillan Rd.
  • Mobile County: SR-188 from CR-19 to SR-193.
  • Mobile County: SR-193 service roads and Hamilton Blvd from west of SR-193 to Dockside Rd.

Grove Hill Area Projects

  • Clarke County: SR-13 (US-43) from north of CR-10 (Walker Springs Rd) to 0.5 miles south of Red Leaf Rd.
  • Clarke County: SR-12 (US-84) from Nellie Hill Rd. to CR-35 (Morning Star Rd).
  • Wilcox County: SR-41 from SR-10 to the Dallas County line.
  • Wilcox County: SR-28 from SR-10 to SR-41.
  • Washington County: SR-13 (US-43) from the Mobile County line to Bilbo Creek Bridge.
  • Choctaw County: SR-156 from SR-17 to SR-114.
  • Choctaw County: SR-114 from Harmony Rd. to the Tombigbee River.
  • Marengo County: SR-10 from SR-69 to Recreation Dr.
  • Washington County: SR-13 (US-43) from Donna Rd. to Lewis Creek Bridge.
  • Wilcox County: SR-10 from SR-41 to 0.6 miles east of CR-65.
