The City of Huntsville today announced upcoming work to construct the Northern Bypass that will impact traffic on North Memorial Parkway (US-231/US-431).
According to the city’s statement:
“Weather permitting, single-lane closures northbound on North Memorial Parkway near Bob Wade Lane will begin Monday, Nov. 18, at 9 a.m. as part of the Huntsville Northern Bypass project. Closures both northbound and southbound will affect outside lanes during non-peak hours over the next six months.”
Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the work zone. For real-time traffic conditions, visit ALGOTraffic.com.
The city-led Huntsville Northern Bypass project includes both city and state funding. The bypass and another project on North Memorial Parkway, the state-led construction of an overpass at Mastin Lake Road, were advanced through a joint-funding agreement between ALDOT and the City of Huntsville.
