The Alabama Department of Transportation has completed a fiber infrastructure project along Interstate 65 in Chilton County that spanned approximately 21 miles.

The completed project will provide the Traffic Management Center with better technological capabilities to manage traffic flow. It is also expected to improve safety, mobility, commerce and travel-time reliability for motorists.

Entire project limits of the US-231 access management project from SR-87 to Industrial Park Boulevard in Troy.
