The Alabama Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that beginning Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, north and southbound rest areas on Interstate 85 in Macon County will be closed for maintenance.   

While the restroom facilities will be closed, the grounds will remain open for travelers to safely take breaks from driving.
