The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface and install guardrail on US-82 from Wilson Road to SR-5 in Brent to improve mobility and safety.
The 3.65-mile project is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Aug. 13 and will continue until late fall 2025, weather permitting. At least one lane will be open in each direction throughout the duration of the project.
Wiregrass Construction Company was awarded the project at $2.92 million.
Motorists should expect possible delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
