ALDOT to resurface portion of SR-28 in Sumter County

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface and install guardrail on SR-28 from the intersection of County Road 21 to the intersection of US-80 near Bellamy.

The 6.2-mile project is expected to begin Monday, Nov. 3 and will continue until spring 2026.

S.T. Bunn Construction Company was awarded the project at $2.45 million.

Drivers should expect possible delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
