ALDOT to resurface segment of SR-69 in Walker County

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface and install guardrail in Walker County on SR-69 from near Blackwater Creek Bridge to the Cullman County line to improve mobility and safety.

The 5.3-mile project is expected to begin Tuesday, May 27 and continue until late summer 2025.

Wiregrass Construction Company was awarded the project at $3.12 million.

Drivers should expect possible delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
