The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface and install guardrail on SR-18 from east of County Road 31 to the intersection of 10th Street Northwest in Vernon.
The 4.4-mile project is expected to begin Monday, June 16 and will continue until early fall 2025.
S.T. Bunn Construction Company was awarded the project at $2.48 million.
Drivers should expect possible delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
